Artists Reflection: Texture & Lighting Basics

1. Which picture is the best shot of this assignment? Why?
The Best shot of this assignment is Figure 1, because the image really fulfilled
the textural interpretation of the real thing, and the edits of the photo sharpened
and dramatizes it.

2. Which picture is the weakest shot of this assignment? Why?

The weakest shot is the Figure 2, because the background of the image is blurry and only the branch is in focus.

3. How can the weakest image be improved on in future shoots?
I would improve my weakest shot by not using portrait mode. I had chosen portrait mode because i though it would focus on the branch more than the background.

4. Did you use Photoshop, Lightroom, or both? What tools in the programs did you use to edit the pictures?
I used Photoshop for editing, because most of the edits I had to make were fairly based on texture and lighting.

5. Explain how were you able to meet the objectives (GOALS) of the assignment?
I got close to the subjects so that I could capture its texture.

6. What was easy about this assignment? Why?
The easiest part of the assignment was taking the pictures because it was really fun and helped me get my creativity flowing.

7. What was difficult about this assignment? Why?
The most difficult part of this was actually describing the textures of the shots.

8. If you could do this assignment again, what would you do differently?
I would fix my weakest shot.

9. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being your best effort) how would you rate your effort in this project? Why would you give yourself that rating?
I would give myself a 10 because i feel like this was my best project to date. The pictures were nice and the edits sharpened and enhanced the image.
